apples and cinnamon. A love story.

There are the scents and flavors when they feel are somehow perfect.
The combination creates its apples and cinnamon this perfection. They seem born to be together.
Their scent I love it in any form. In food, fresheners, candles and even in the cosmetic creams. Just this year my husband returned from one of his many travels brought me a delicious scented body lotion. It was almost want to taste, and unlike most fragrant creams that are not commercially made you feel a sweet, but left a scent very discreet.



few weeks ago, browsing the blog of my friend Julia , I found the recipe for apple jam and cinnamon. It is by far my favorite jam but so far I never had the courage to try to do it personally because I know that apples are not easy to turn into jam ...
The result was not perfect, the texture is more like a compote of apples, but the flavor is excellent. I think the problem is to have crushed the jam with the blender, I think it would be better to have the patience to cut into tiny cubes of apple and let it cook so .
Jam over to eat it for breakfast, or mix it with fresh ricotta (as did my mom), I thought you could pay a fine tart, and in fact .... I've done it twice and never lasts more than a few hours!

Ingredienti :

300 gr di farina
150 gr di burro morbido
100 gr di zucchero
2 tuorli
1 limone (scorza)
1 pizzico di sale
