Night 1001 - Our journey in the UAE and more ...

was almost a year since the idea of \u200b\u200bthis cruise was spinning in my head ...
A different way to visit the countries unlikely that I would visit alone, by organizing everything on my own as I usually do.
The cruise allows you to navigate at night and visit a different place every day. So really a holiday of comfort.
The ship was Costa Luminosa . A ship named last year in Genoa. The quality of the service was impeccable and even the food ... offered high-volume day and night!
premise that we have never hiked with Costa, but we have always held their own. So many hours spent on the internet, the Lonely Planet and a little 'luck have allowed us to see so many things saving a lot.

Get ready: it will be a very long post! :)

6 to 7 March - DUBAI
Upon our arrival in Dubai we took a room Arabian Courtyard, a hotel located right in front of to the Dubai Museum, with spacious rooms and cozy. Furnished in Arabic style with teak furniture. Very impressive, with an excellent buffet for breakfast.
It was a good choice that has allowed us to rest for a few hours and regain your strength to get to know this amazing city.
Dubai Museum

Four hours are not quite sufficient to visit the whole city, but enough to enter a completely different climate. I dare say almost surreal. Everything has to be at the top. And even if you may be able to enter into some Guinness ... Everything must be "the most." Wandering around you continue to hear: This is the highest tower. This will be the longest underground. This is the city's chic. Etc. Etc.
is a paradise for architects and engineers. Here, every idea is realized. Without rules. The yards are not counted. Some seeds also abandoned because of the recent crisis. Others in action.

The old boats, called Abra is used by everyone, tourists and locals alike, to move from one bank of the Creek, or between Bur Dubai and Deira.

attraction not to be missed are the various souks of Dubai. Indoor market where you can find everything. From local handicrafts, spices and textiles, gold and diamonds, manufacture of articles of China and Thailand.
As you enter you are struck by a series of scents that transport you in truly fabulous atmosphere.

The tower is located near the Dubai Mall, where every evening from 18 to 23, every twenty minutes, there is a show not to be missed. The immense fountains that move to the rhythm of music, in a blaze of light and color.

We then headed to the Mall of the Emirates. One of the largest shopping mall in the world, in addition to countless shops, houses a cinema with 14 screens, a five star hotel (Kempinski chain), an amusement park, but also houses the only indoor ski slope ( Ski Dubai ). A track 400 meters long, with lots of lift, plate, the landing boats, and ski school. The temperature is constantly below zero, and it is pretty impressive all imbaccuccati see skiers in their ski suits while you're there in shirt and shorts ...

We finally went to see the entrance to the Sultan's Palace, where many peacocks move unhindered along the access road, creating a choreography worthy of the most beautiful fairy tales.

the evening, at 20, we finally embarked on the Costa Luminosa waiting for us at the harbor all lit up.

Our cabin was very cozy and spacious with a nice balcony with two chairs that we have fully exploited.

March 8 - MUSCAT (Oman)

After a walk to the Souq, we took a taxi to lead to the Mosque which unfortunately was already closed to the public, so we could only admire from the outside. There have, however, assured that the interior really breathtaking. And we do not find it hard to believe.

the afternoon we take the facts from a friendly taxi driver to ' Oman Dive Center located in a very picturesque bay where we could swim and enjoy a little 'the beautiful beach.

After returning from the beach, we even stopped to admire the Palace of the Sultan and old city of Muscat.

Leaving the port the view is really impressive.

March 9 - FUJAIRAH

Fujairah is another of the seven United Arab Emirates. Conscious of the fact that this city has much to offer, we aprofittato the day to enjoy a little 'the sea. We had to bring Le Meridien Al Aqah Beach Resort . A beautiful hotel. Easily identifiable by its height and its position in the middle of nowhere.

back from the beach, along the way, is the Mosque Al Badiya.

March 10 - ABU DHABI

The stage of Abu Dhabi was the most anticipated. I knew there were many things to see, so we landed as soon as possible and we negotiated the price with a taxi driver to guide us and lead us to explore the things that interested us. At the end of our trip lasted more than six hours and it was absolutely to our expectations.

The first stop was the Zayed Grand Mosque. I absolutely wanted to get there before 12, in which time is closed to the public. Miss out on the interior of this mosque would be a pity.

As I was so fascinated that I would never get out. Those wide open spaces, wrapped in a surreal silence, the decorations of the ceilings that seem to be a magic hand embroidered, inlaid in the columns, absolutely perfect. Mother of pearl, precious stones, crystals and blown glass. The eyes are full of these wonders.

Having to wear the traditional black dress with the veil and take off your shoes, makes a visit in this mosque, an experience for the senses. Walking on the cold white marble, only to find themselves on a huge Persian carpet of an indescribable softness is something magnificent.

The attention to detail, detail, and fascinating.

Photographs unfortunately unable to testify fully beauty and magnificence of this place. I think everyone at least once in their life, should see with their own eyes.

Leaving this enchanting place, my husband insisted on going to see something more "land". The new F1 circuit, "Yas Marina Circuit .

To begin with I just say that they have built an artificial island on purpose to build the circuit ... And I've said it all!

Within the circuit is the "The Yas Hotel", a new five-star hotel is minimalist and linear, but very elegant. We got on the Rooftop Bar where you can enjoy a beautiful view of the circuit, enjoying an ice cold drink by the pool.

next stage in Abu Dhabi: Emirates Palace .
Named one of the three most beautiful buildings in the world. A luxury hotel in which a few may remain, but where everyone has the opportunity to visit both outside and inside.

The interior is all gilt. Gold is everywhere. And the shocking thing is that almost always it is real gold!

Being lunch time, we allowed ourselves the luxury of eating at one of several bars within the hotel. There are "satisfied" of two sandwiches, which of course could not be served on a simple dish ... But are served on a tray with lots of fries, marinated olives, a plate with a jar of Mayonaise, one of two types of ketchup and mustard seeds. The food was really delicious.

At the end we could not resist the temptation to take a dessert ... obviously all completely decorated with flakes of real gold ...

After recovering his strength, we headed to the Heritage Village. A reconstruction of a typical village.

A nice place near the lagoon of Abu Dhabi to spend a few relaxing Oretta.

March 11 - CITY BAHRAIN (Bahrain)

last stop of our cruise, before returning to Dubai: Bahrain.
I must say that this was the only time we have some 'regret for not taking an excursion organized by the Costa we have brought in a beautiful beach.
We started with the intention of going to the beach, but after seeing two people close to the city (recommended by our taxi driver ...) when the sea was absolutely impossible, and after going to another, half an hour by car, in which only came to us asking for $ 112, we gave up.
assigned to our taxi driver on the lead we bring the facts to see the (few) notable attractions of this resort.

Mar. 12 - DUBAI

At 13 we returned to the port of Dubai.
After the disappointment of the day before we decided to grant a luxurious day at the beach, enjoying the excellent amenities Mina A 'Salam , a very nice, in Arabic style, with inside a lagoon Abra where there are small restaurants that take you in or of the Souq Madinat Jumeirah, which really deserves a visit.

L'albergo si trova proprio di fianco al Burj al Arab , il 7 stelle meglio conosciuto come "La Vela".

E per finire davvero al top una vacanza bellissima... Il rientro a casa con la First della Lufthansa. Un altro mondo!
